Greetings r/Bitcoin members.
First things first: I’m very new to the whole crypto-scene.
I was given the task by a large firm to find out where to buy a large sum of Bitcoin via Banktransfer (preferrably in-person transfer).
Yes, I know. How come someone like me got the task to find such an individual/firm that has access to such a large lump um of BTC? Well here I am and I’m asking you.
(For context: Not to be misleading. This firm has nothing to do with crypto and reached out to a person who specializes in finding such type of deals\[usually in different scenes like FX, stock traders, basically anything that instistuions would want on a larger scale\]. This person has contacted me, just to ask if I were into such things, like crypto. I straight up told him “NO.”, but I’ll look into it, because I could earn a commision if I would find a suitable seller.)

I’ve read about OTC. I tried contacting Binance about that but they only do crypto-to-crypto OTC’s.
Some facts for any kind soul that would like to help:
\-The firm is a european-held entity.
\-The head of operations wants to do an “old-school” meet-up to finalize the trade from Fiat to BTC.
\-He would prefer a P2P trade that doesn’t involve a third-party
\-He wants to buy anywhere from 20.000 BTC to 35.000 BTC. Yes, 560m€ to 1bn€.

Now I’m asking you:
Where can I find such a large bulk seller?

I would gladly appreciate any help.

Does the multi-billion dollar firm that supposedly tasked you to facilitate a billion dollar BTC transaction know that your “Master Plan” is… to ask a question in a Reddit sub?
Contact Kraken or Coinbase about OTC.
Snif snif Smells like scammer to me
Is the multi-million dollar company iyou represent owned by a Nigerian prince? 🤣
Hey all it doesn’t take a rocket scientist to figure out OP is either a scammer or a troll multi-million dollar company or institutions have entire departments and conduct meetings to agree how they’ll invest they don’t send people to ask this question in reddit 🤣
Troll post or not, this just screams illegal/fraud or some kind of tax evasion loophole attempt.
> The head of operations wants to do an “old-school” meet-up to finalize the trade from Fiat to BTC.
Is that legal?
I very much doubt that you are the right person, the fact you are coming to reddit to find out. You clearly know nothing about Bitcoin and likely will get scammed if anyone followed the guidance of your research. If the guy with the purse strings really did gave you this task, its likely done to give you something to do. If they are really serious, its likely they are in talks with someone else who is more knowledgeable in the matter. Relax one day you may earn some respect 🙂
Try r/CryptoCurrency. Probably a good choice for someone who wants to do “large amounts” without learning about them first.

Make sure you carry out due diligence.

Read more. Check [exchanges](https://bitcoin-only.com/get-bitcoin) operating in the EU in your case. Many of them do fiat to Bitcoin OTC.
