Because you paid a low transaction fee compared to the transaction fees that most users are currently paying.
Amount sent is irrelevant and “quite high” for fees does not say much.

Nobody here can tell you. You failed to provide sufficient information
What is the weight of the transaction? How many inputs and outputs does it have? How many satoshis per virtual byte did you pay for the transaction fee?
Contrary to being told how ‘easy’ transactions are, this is the kind of garbage details why adoption will slow or stop. And why I’ll be dumping mine the minute it goes into gain.
