Gotta admit, it seemed strange and unnecessary at first glance.
But going down the rabbit hole, I realized staking on L2 chains on Bitcoin would bring more users, more applications, more use cases… And removed the need for so many projects in the crypto space, since none of them can compete with the Bitcoin network in terms of security and decentralization.
I will leave here 2 great articles I found on Spiderchains, [this](https://bitcoinmagazine.com/technical/spiderchains-a-proof-of-stake-second-layer) and [this](https://blog.lopp.net/an-introduction-to-spiderchain/), feel free to go through it.
What is your take on this option? Brian’s thought “It doesn’t require any fork at all to enable, so it’s going to happen.” got me really excited, tbh.

Bitconnnneeecttt!!!
Nah.
This sounds like Drivechains, and I thought that nonsense had been dealt with already?
Also “the need for so many projects in the crypto space” . . . ***what?***
I’ve been talking about building a PoS L2 network on top of Bitcoin for a while because I think it opens a lot of really valuable use cases.
